Monitor Mentions
for Retail Brands
on Instagram
Get notified when people talk about your consumer brand or competitors on Instagram.
The next post about your brand lands in your inbox.
Most people who talk about a brand never tag its account, so it never reaches your notifications. We watch the hashtags and the handle, and email you what turns up.
- The posts that never tagged youA notification only fires when somebody @-mentions the account. Most people do not.
- The post, not a numberWho posted, what they wrote, the tags they used, and a link straight to it.
- Nothing on a quiet weekNo email for the sake of one. Everything on a loud week, and we say how far back each alert reaches.

How the monitoring works
What it costs βPick the brands to watch
Yours and the competitors you are judged against. Every brand in the database already has a public page; choosing one puts it under daily monitoring.
We watch for mentions
Public Instagram posts that name the brand, collected every six hours by hashtag and keyword, which is the only way to catch the majority that never tag the account.
You get told, with context
Mentions arrive by email, next to the numbers that say whether they are moving anything. Follower change, engagement against your category median, and where you sit in your competitive set.
Who this is for
How it works β- A PR team that hears about the creator post when a journalist quotes it back to them.
- A comms lead who has to answer βwhat did people say about us this weekβ on Monday, with something better than a guess.
- A marketing team watching a wrong claim about the product spread for a week, while the comment section it started in goes cold.
- A social lead watching Olipop and Poppi in the same aisle, who needs to know the week one of them has a moment.
- A marketing agency holding six client brands, none of which justify a platform that quotes by the year.
- Any brand whose customers post the product constantly and tag the account almost never.
Most mentioned
Every mention βPublic posts by other creators, over the last 30 days.
Trending now
All trending βFollower growth over the last 30 days, for brands with two readings at least 5 days apart.
By category
How to use these βBy subcategory
Where the searching actually happens. Nobody types food brands; they type coffee brands, or beer brands, or skincare brands. A subcategory gets its own page once ten brands are in it.
By collection
A brand sells one thing and is several others at once. The rows above are what it sells; these are what it is.
Which brands this fits
Monitor Mentions is built for consumer brands whose demand is shaped on Instagram. Those are the categories where a launch, a creator post, or a competitor's campaign moves the business. Beauty and skincare, fashion and apparel, food and beverage, wellness and fitness, jewelry and accessories, home and lifestyle.
